Spanish Security Officer - Bogota

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets.

  • Manage and verify access points, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.

  • Monitor security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control platforms to detect and respond to irregular activities.

  • Document and report any suspicious behavior, incidents, or breaches according to internal procedures.

  • Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, including intrusions, thefts, emergencies, or health and safety hazards.

  • Conduct preliminary investigations, gather evidence, and prepare detailed incident reports.

  • Coordinate with supervisors or relevant authorities to support corrective or preventive actions.

  • Inspect and ensure proper functioning of all surveillance and alarm systems, reporting any technical issues or maintenance needs.

  • Maintain accountability for assigned security equipment, ensuring proper use, care, and readiness.

  • Prepare and submit daily or periodic security reports covering incidents, inspections, and preventive measures.

  • Ensure adherence to internal security policies, company standards, and applicable local regulations.

  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to implement and enhance security procedures and protocols.

  • Participate in regular training on security awareness, emergency response, customer service, and professional development.

  • Manage all sensitive or confidential information responsibly, maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Native or fluent in Spanish (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication

  • Minimum educational requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Preferred: technical or vocational certification in security, law enforcement, or a related field.

  • Completion of a certified security guard training course from an accredited institution.

  • Valid security guard license or equivalent authorization as required by local law.

  • Certification or training in the use of security technologies (e.g., CCTV, communication systems) preferred.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in security, surveillance, or a related field (corporate or institutional settings preferred).

  • Demonstrated knowledge of access control, monitoring systems, and emergency response procedures.

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (day/night), weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous coverage.

  • Physical ability to perform patrols and respond promptly to incidents.

  • Must pass background and reference checks in line with company and regulatory standards.

  • Demonstrated record of reliability, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

  • Proficiency in operating and monitoring electronic security systems.

  • Ability to manage incident reporting and risk assessment procedures accurately.

  • Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
